On the cost of travel

I feel disgusting. I have no hand sanitizer. It’s bizarre how moving can discombobulate a person; I have blue nail polish, a shot-bottle of Captain Morgan’s and a box of cheap envelopes in my purse, but no hand sanitizer.

On priorities

Sometimes I wonder how complete a complete change should be … i find myself doing one or two of the things I’ve always done. Of course, I breathe exactly the way I always have … I speak pretty much the same first language …

On pacing in the dark

Now I am pacing through my house in the dark, from the kitchen to the living room to the office and back, while drinking a mug of the gourmet gevalia mint tea I brought with me here. I have a confession: It’s spiked with Cruzan Vanilla.

On walking around in the snow

I noticed three snowmen while walking on E103rd today. One of them was missing his head. One had a curtain rod for one arm and the spine of an umbrella for the other arm.
