were pulling the train along its course [...]

through overdue sensations
of overwhelming pleasure…
you are loved through stalled dreams
of a perfect future…
The lights are off so that I can hear
and the volume is up all the way. [...]
i love you because i don’t have enough energy for apathy.
i love you because i’m a little bit drunk and you laugh so pretty . . .
Is it strange
that I am enamoured
of a fruit stand? [...]
I left the sweater on her bed
with a “thank you.”
Three days later
“can I borrow your jacket?”
i am the sunset
the crashing ocean
the gods
the heavens…
I want it to be the second gorgeous thing i see when i wake up…
