Classic NYer singing her ass off at a nightclub
This is a classic story about a New York City girl just trying to do what we all try to do… and I am just your average ordinary superwoman. I am a poet, an artist, a musician, an intellectual, an academic student, a philosopher, and simultaneously none of the above.
Not that my story is unique, mind you. We’re all survivors and so are you.
I started this blog just a few days before the Year of the Metal Tiger, which according to astrology.com will be a tumultuous year of dramatic energy. Not that I know much about astrology, but that’s what I’m told. I’m also told that a wood girl like me won’t do well in that kind of environment, but I’m holding out for my “mind over matter” mentality to win out in this situation. Yeah, that’s my mentality. I can’t say for sure whether or not I’ve had success with it. I would need you to define success first. What I can say though is that it’s been a hell of a decade and I felt in my senses a change coming this year. I’ve already created some of that change in more ways than I’ll discuss in this brief introduction to my blog. The details will be in the pages.
I’ve already created some of that change by starting this blog. Maybe this will be the year that I escape my self-afflicted anonymity through a purposefully anonymous blog.
But now that we’re more acquanted, I want to welcome you again to my life. I’m just like you, I bet. You’re just like me.
